Drupal Training for new users
Can anyone recommend a Drupal training course (online or in person) for new Drupal web administrators?
I have extensive experience in web management, but have never used Drupal.
Also, any books that are worthwhile?
Thanks,
Wendy Lin

RSS support for developers.mit.edu?
Will someone take an action item to add RSS functionality to this site? Given the low traffic, it would be nice if the home page would allow people to receive an RSS feed of all of the forums.
Once traffic increases, we can think about how to make subscriptions more granular.

Seminar on Secure Website Construction
Jeff Schiller sent the following to ITPartners on July 31st, 2009:
At this week’s “Black Hat” conference yet another attack on SSL was
unveiled. Its an interesting attack, but probably nothing that is
immediately practical (though the jury is not completely back on
that!).
While thinking about the attack, and how to defend against it, I
thought that it might be useful to put together a seminar on how to
program websites in a secure fashion. It turns out that this is
trickier then it seems on the surface. There are plenty of ways to do
PHP/Eclipse
Does anyone have a recommendation for a PHP development environment?
I've been using Eclipse for Java development, so I'm going to look at the PDT Eclipse plugin. I was wondering what experience people have had with this, or other PHP dev tools.

Question about using developers.mit.edu for community support
I'd chatted briefly with Steve about using developers.mit.edu to create a few forums for peer-to-peer user support on unsupported IT topics. Similar, perhaps, to the intent behind the Linux Users but more broadly applicable.
A few follow up questions:
- Who all should I talk to to find out if we can use developers.mit.edu for this?
- Is it possible to create a sub-section of forums, perhaps with a small topic list, so we don't crowd out or confuse the developer forms with a number of user/peer support forums? Or is the forums list limited to a flat list?

Suggestion for new developer forum
I'd like to throw out a suggestion to create a "Tools & Utilities Developers" forum. I know most of these seem to be by language or platform, but there are a lot of folks at MIT writing random scripts, tools, utilities, Firefox plugins, and so on that it would be great to create a community around.
Reusing, sharing, and modifying these is common practice (although it's sometimes hard to find them or connect with others) and could save a lot of time for folks.
